So saturday night i'm on the way to the car meet in midlo and my brand new HID's start shutting off everytime i hit a bump in the road. After almost dying i pull over to try and diagnose the problem which ends up being a loose connection under the fuse-box, i continue on my way.
I get on 288 and start hearing this loud grinding/knocking sound and immediately pull over. I'm prepared for the worst (a thrown rod). So i leave it running and pop the hood and see my harmonic balancer rubbing and grinding into my stablizer bar?? Somehow and realize the motor had dropped at least 5-7 inches on the driver side and 2 of the 3 motor mount bolts were gone and the last one wasn't even bolted in.
So i realize i then have to make it home before the alternator belt gives and then i'm fucked... i make it maybe 5 miles down 288 and hear a big CLUNK and cannot go anymore. I coast to the side of 288 2 miles before the Iron Bridge- Chesterfield exit, pop my hood again and the axle had busted and came out of the half-shaft (i guess because of the weird angle of the motor).
Long story short, i have no money for a tow
Me and my friend have to flat foot 10+ miles (for the second time this week, the first of which, having to walk home from arrestafield jail)
And the next night we tow it with my boy's dodge neon all the way to my home near chippenham.. lol.
And now for the pics...
