Looks like the compound turbo setup. Its been around awhile. Just for some reason coming back.

AMS was doing it on there big motor build on the Evo then went to single turbo.

EDIT:

Nevermind i really did not look at the pictures. That is a true turbo twin turbo. Yet another waste of money depending on how you look at it.

But cool that they got it going.

Are those numbers typically feasible on a stock bottom end f20c? Seems quite crazy at 475hp lol

Looking at the car now. Iam going to assume there looking to show the car and the whole reason behind the build was to do something different.

You obviously havent been around many Turbo F/k motors haha. They are some stout, power making engines.

The only thing I can see maybe they did it for (besides look/braggin rights) was TQ. WHat do big single S2Ks makeing ~the same power make Tq wise?

You're not gaining anything with a TT setup really, not torque, not anything. It's just to be different on a 4 cylinder. Having 2 cylinders per turbo really isn't that great of an idea, it's very pulse-y.. It's kind of a waste of efficiency on a 4-cyl.

I like things that work well, not things that don't work well but are different than what other people are doing. I'm funny like that.

VTEC engagement RPM needs to be changed too, that power transition is ugly but that's easy to tweak in software. Who knows what it looks like at different load though, it may be perfect on the street at not-full-throttle.

lol obviously, hence my question. How much boost (give or take a couple pounds considering the setup) can you throw at these motors without having to go with built internals? I've been around a few boosted K's, but always at 7-8psi, thus I always thought that was near the upper threshold before building. I've seen great numbers at 8psi, but never though a 2.0 would bang out 475 and 15psi. Is that a hell of a tune, or am I naive in thinking that lol
