Didnt know such a swap was possible. How much lighter are these then a hatch?

any swap is possiible, the only thing is how much money are you willing to dump into something that isnt practical. and i wouldnt pay that much money on a mini cooper with a b series in it..

there was a guy who had a Type R swapped Mini a while back. and 23k is just fucking stupid

Nicely restored 1275cc minis are not cheap. In the 10-15k range. A nicely restored ORIGINAL Cooper "S" is worth in the 20k range. The value on the car is hard to say, but i know for a fact you could not build the same car for that money. If that is what someone is willing to pay, then that is what it's worth. B-Series Minis have sold for over 20k in the past.

Oh, and they are MUCH lighter than a hatch. I have picked one up and moved it with no interior or engine, with one other person.

Agree with chris. Those things arent cheap and pretty fucking awesome from what i have heard. I know someone who used to have one.

I know there's a company who makes mounts, etc to put a B series in the new ones, not quite sure if they do the same for these. Either way, I'm sure it's a little more fun than an original engine.

Actually have seen that at the Great Falls Cars and Coffee, pretty damned bad ass. I am sure there is someone up here that will pay every bit of that 23K too. That lil fucker has to be quick, and yes, they are super fun to drive.
