Chassis degreased and powerwashed. Doesn't look like much but getting all the adhesive residue from the old heat insulation on the tub was a chore. Time for welding. Going to weld up all the holes from the rivets that held on the old heat insulation panels, weld in a proper harness bar, and relocate the steering column a little etc.

Why are you doing so much prep if it's getting media blasted or stripped before it gets powdercoated?

So his blasting/coating guy doesn't give him the "asshole who brought me a dirty ass chassis with a bunch of adhesive residue" price?

To be honest I'm not 100% sure exactly what they'll do to prep the car so I errored on the side of cleaning it.

Pretty much... the chassis had lots of grease/grime on it from blown up motors and years of tracking etc.
