Project Classic Datsun: 1966 Datsun Roadster (1600) Restoration Progress
I started reassembling the freshly powder coated dash, the pics I took turned out kinda crappy, I love the way this came out! Very excited to get it back in the car!!

Also, started to refresh the front suspension. New poly tie rod and upper and lower ball joints along with poly bump stops are on the way from energy suspension.
First step disassembly:

More progress!
Cleaned up all the pass side suspension componets and sprayed them with caliper paint. I'm assuming this will hold up fine since these parts will never see near the temperture range or abuse the brakes would. I decided against powdercoating for several reasons, first being cost, second this is being built as a driver not a show car. Just wanted to clean the gunk off and make things look presentable.

Driver side vs Pass side ball joint:

Steering Idler Box, still needs to be painted and new grease added:

Driver vs Pass tie rods, just cleaned up still neds paint and new poly boots:

These will be tossed in the trash in favor of some KYB Shocks and possibly Swift Lowering Springs!

Rotors will be resurfaced, as new rotors are $$!!:

New Brake lines arrived:

New Energy Suspension dust boots for all 10 ball joints + Poly bump stops:

LOL I stole the real jackstands from under it for my datsun.. It's so light buckets hold it fine
Rotors are mostly surface rust. A new set (front) is over $300 so, these will get turned for $30.. haha
