What are you making for torque, that's the important part if you're breaking gearsets.

Have you thought about a t56 magnum. It a direct bolt in for your car with the following specs: 700lb-ft Torque Capacity with 2.97 or 2.66 1st Gear
- Mechanical or Electric Speedometer
- 26 T Input Shaft
- 31 T Output Shaft.

Yes, if I open mine up, and it's major damage, not just something stupid, like a shift fork, then the Magnum is what i will be ordering. Although mine is supposed to be rated at 750lb-ft, I think the Magnum, based off the new 6060, may be stronger, and shift a lot better.

Will that be strong enough if its only rated at 750lb-ft? It seems like this setup is capable of much, much, more than that. I guess either way its better than a stock t56.

It is, but other than a G force modified T-56, which is over $5k, there isn't anything stronger. And if I'm gonna spend that much, I'll put a gay auto in the car.
