Re: New Toy
If it Dosent have a catch can get one. Competition engineering makes a good one for these cars.

Re: New Toy
He had the trophy and offered it. I wasn't interested in it because he ran that time and set the record, not me. It's just fun to mention.

Re: New Toy
Is this a stock block??? If so you should just get a grenade and to throw in a field... about the same effect.

Re: New Toy
Bullshit. You should know the block will be fine. Hell, people have made 1000+rw with the stock block and crank. Before I ran into issues that caused me to not have time to play with the car I was tuning it with a .093 pill. Stock '99 block and crank with off the shelf Eagle rods and Diamond pistons. The thing has had a .078 pill in it for probably 30 passes, a .072 for probably another 70 passes, probably 100 N/A passes and 5,000 miles of street time. N/A that engine makes 435rw through a TH400. Do the math.

Re: New Toy
I'd think he'd be okay with rod bolts, head studs and a good set of HGs for a pretty long time.

Re: New Toy
That makes much more sense. We had a local guy that raced with us make 630ish for years on a totally stock longblock with a turbo. He was constantly worried about it, but it never seemed to give up the ghost. Definately not the norm though
