More mods to the Panoz... ready for VIR
Car is finally ready for VIR next weekend.
Hoosier R6s
Motor checked over w/ new plug wire boots
5" autometer tach installed. I custom made a plug for the harness so I can still take the dash out w/o having to un-mount or un-wire the tach. In testing it's much better than having to look down at the PI digital dash sytem. Still using the PI setup for oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, battery volts.
New Firefox fire system. Was able to modify the lines and bottle holder from the old system to work w/ the new on. Old bottle was too old to pass NASA tech and had no pressure. Set it up to spray into the engine bay and on the driver.

Re: More mods to the Panoz... ready for VIR
Converted the 4 hood supports into hood hold-downs. Hood flopped around to the point of distraction at VIR. Now the car has 110 more rwhp and weighs 150lbs less so it'll be more of an issue. Hood won't be going anywhere now. Basically I bought 2 hood pin kits and had VASpeed cut and weld tem to the hood support bits that I took to them, then measured and drilled the hood etc.
Ready to go... car and trailer now live in NC.

Used to be 7-8, but PAS re-alligned it with about +5 per the GTS manual. That side has always been closer to the bumper, but never hits. I may bust out the dremmel one of these days and trim it some. The other side isn't as close. But remember this car is just a square tube chassis w/ plastic body panels screwed on... fit/finish isn't exactly consistant

Yeah... I have a camera mount but it's annoying trying to push start/stop when you're strapped in etc. I've been looknig at one of those go-pro things... way beter mounts and makes for cooler videos.
