Re: moar CLK63 AMG black series
vmspionage, gorgeous Mercedes, haven't seen any Black Series since back in Naples. What's the difference between the regular AMG and the Black Series again? I think it's carbon fiber parts, but i'm not sure. Wheels are almost similar to mine, 05-08 18" SLK 55 AMGs.

Bimmerdude, is your car red? If so, I think I saw you yesterday on Jefferson (leaving Port Warrick). I was the guy in the yellow S2000.

redesigned intake and exhaust system, larger intake valves, ecu tuning, more aggressive esp settings
14.2"/13.0" 2 piece composite brakes, 6 piston calipers
multi plate locking limited slip differential (30% on load, 10% on overrun)
7 speed transmission with revised gear ratios, internals, and programming (20% faster shifts in manual mode)
3-way adjustable coil-over suspension, adjustable front axle camber
3 new cross braces (strut tower, midpoint where rear seats used to be, and trunk)
widened track (75mm front 66mm rear)
forged aluminum wheels, 265/30 R19 - 285/30 R19 (24.3lbs)
new bodywork, spoiler, diffuser, interior stuff, and a little carbon fiber here and there (such as the front fenders)
larger main radiator, optimized power steering cooler, as well as an additional transmission, differential, and oil cooler
awesome new front seats, but no back seats
lap timer
electronically limited to 186mph
plus even a hard ass like Clarkson likes it... either that or they paid him off

Re: moar CLK63 AMG black series
Corey, no car is black
vmspionage, I guess I was partly wrong, missed a whole laundry list of stuff, lol.
I've got the AMG package on my car which includes:
AMG new uplifted front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, spoiler, tails.
225/45/18 front 245/35/18 AMG multispokes rear.
Modified power steering cooler
7G transmission, faster shifts in manual mode.
Electronically limited to 155 mph.
Only modification i've made is a Remus exhaust (x-pipe back), $1,200 system. Not too bad considering most are 3k+
Your car is the whole deal, I can't afford anything like that right now. I'm looking to get an AMG once the lease is up on this car, not decided on which model yet though.

Re: moar CLK63 AMG black series
Just watched the Top Gear video... I want one, lol!
Ha, I love the part when he reads the warning letter from Mercedes, AMG doesn't play around. I've driven plenty of AMGs, but not the new 6.3. Do you think the dealership would allow a test drive

Re: moar CLK63 AMG black series
Please don't put stupid wheels on it... I really like those stockers. Is your car a stick or does it have the 7 speed trans in it?
I drove my mom's CLS550 this weekend for the first time... was really impressed w/ the way 380 horses can move the car w/ the 7-speed. And it handles damn well in the Sport 2 setting.

But seriously, I like the stock wheels. The only thing I might do to it is ECU and exhaust down the road and maybe a roll cage after I get it paid off.
