Not bad man. I still love those rims. I talked to you at Home depot one night.

Get some slicks and you'd be in the 12s with it.

I was considering getting a G8, but im not sure if I would get bored with it after a while. How much power is there left on the table to be had without sacrificing comfort?

Re: g8 at vmp

My boss has one of these.... Intake, Magnaflow catback and the Cortex tuner that can also turn off the AFM. Not sure if all tuners can do that?

Define comfort lol. Loud exhaust on a daily is getting to be annoying for me.

Well the G8 is an automatic sedan with features like a entry level luxury 4 door car. So to have decent power with mods, and retain that "sport luxury" status would be considered comfort. Exhaust doesnt really bother me.

Re: g8 at vmp

You can get a Manual G8 if you get the GXP which has more hp too.

i didnt get perfect conditions (DA was about 300), plus gainesvilles track prep is horrible compared to VMP... just saying, unless the DA was 2000, you should be in the mid to high 12's...

Re: g8 at vmp

damn those things look ugly to me, but not 2 bad times for a pretty much stock car

racerns 04-12-2009 09:13 PM

Re: g8 at vmp

The head wind there can be pretty stong there some days. It was a good 15-20 mph the day I ran my 12.59@110 there in my G8 but I had great DA to help counter that some. Using the DA calculator it looks like it was about 1000ft in the morning for you but then got better through the day. Car looks Great! though.

Re: g8 at vmp

well ill just say that it was strong enough that a tent at the vendor stand blew all the way over to the tech station.
