Re: Ford Small Block poweder widebody 240Z
Meh, having owned an L28 powered 280Z i'd rather have pretty much anything else under the hood. They're heavy and rev like a Honda towing Shawn22's trailer.
The Chevy powered Zs have a history dating back to the 1970s when the Scarab Z were heavily involved in road racing.
And as recent as the late 1990s when Chevy powered Zs dominated the IHRA and were eventually banned because the rotary / 2JZ crowd cried too much about it.

cool story bro, this isnt about chevy powered z's road racing, its about a horrible looking 240z with a FORD small block, which is ovbiously not as good as the chevys, because they didnt dominate straight line driving.

7200rpms is high revving now-a-days? you must be speaking on a relative basis
maybe a single cam honda, or an ls at best. 9k rpms is high revving(subject to some interpretation, i suppose)

Not sure if I'm reading this wrong but a SBC swapped S30 tends to handle quite nice with the right suspension. Alot of guys take them out on road courses and destroy. Its not just a straight line car.
