FlimFlam's '65 Project Code Name: MURDER
So I sold the 510. No big deal there, I just lost interest and it was going no where quickly. It was a great idea when I bought it, but I just couldn't get motivated to do anything with it. Call me weird, but whatever. I found someone that wanted it more then me and we ended up creating quite the interesting trade.
1972 Datsun 510 for a 1965 Lincoln Continental. Something much more my style. I've always wanted one, but could never find one worth buying. Now I have one and this project WILL be taken seriously. Everything I buy, I seem to buy with something in the back of my mind saying "Hmm...maybe I'll just flip it." Whats weird is that I don't have that going on right now. I want to create one bad ass cruising motherfucking Continental..and I shall.
Here is a pic taken by my friend that came up with me to pick it up in DC.
It BARELY fit in my 24' trailer. Holy crap it was a tight fit. And with a weight of about 5,300lbs, my Powerstroke definitely knew there was something back there versus the 2000lbs 510 that had just been delivered.
Got it out of the trailer today and shot some pics:

Re: FlimFlam's '65 Project Code Name: MURDER
The car will be Satin Black with a black vinyl roof, but painting it is not my biggest concern. Getting it running properly and airbagging it is first on the list. Then newly painted steel wheels with a chrome dog dish center cap and FAT white walls will be added. Much less restrictive exhaust, a flame thrower kit, and some other goodies for the kids.
This thread will be where I update progress, but don't expect to see too much happen for a while. I need to line up everything that I'll be doing and working on every little aspect little by little.
Anyways, this is the most excited I've been about a car in a LONG time. Perhaps this car will restore the soul that I sold when I gave up my E30 M3. Perhaps.
My goal is to sell my truck and tow my raSEcaR to the track with THIS. Whitewalls towing whitewalls. You think I'm joking? You think I'm fucking joking? Well, here!
THIS IS WHAT EMF #1 DRIVES. FUCK THAT KIDDIE BULLSHIT.
Now someone buy my 240z so I can take some of that money and do this car justice by bagging it to the fucking ground, kthxbai.

Kevin, I've never told you this before, but I love you. I've wanted a Continental for years, but a project isn't feasible for me right now.
Edit: LOL you still have the tape on your car from Expo.
