Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

So saturday night before the Import alliance meet my buddy Shawn wanted some shots taken of his car since he really only had cell phone shots so we went exploring. I am no "Photographer" so i'm sure you guys will nit-pick it but i like how they turned out. just thought i'd share. Enjoy.

Offset that sticker off the lip.
Take off all the trendy shit.

Car would look pretty decent after that.

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

Fucking gross, a trendy ass Evo. You have an awd turbo 4 thats rally inspired with a stout ass 4g63t with so much potential you have brought fail. You are like one of those really smart kids who are retarded arent you?

According to you, you're not a photographer, yet you watermark your images?

Take off the stickers please.

I don't usually like trendy Jettas but I like this one.

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

I like it, stickers and all. Except the one on the lip. It's too distracting, and has no place on an AWD turbo monster. Offset is everything? If you believe that you should have bought a VW.

I'm not going to defend this car, except to say that an Evo with Rotas is still an Evo, but a VW with BBSs is still a VW.

thank god vw's with bbs's isn't the topic at hand! not to mention, evo's are expensive cars, and deserve wheels accordingly.

Money spent on ignorant stickers and roof racks and such, invest into a boost controller and some tuning. Run 12s.

Otacon 09-20-2011 05:05 AM

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

Wheels looks great on that car. Less roof rack.

....AJ.... 09-20-2011 05:08 AM

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

Yea, not feelin it. No stickers, no roof rack and it would be real nice. I don't mind the wheels. Just because you may have 3 to 400 bux a month to pay for an evo, doesn't mean you have 1200+ to spend on a set of wheels. Not including tires.

Uzi Crooklyn 09-20-2011 06:22 AM

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

then leave the stock wheels?

thats like buying a 7 series bmw and putting aftermarket 17's on it. lol

Not necessarily. The wheels look good on the car. Aftermarket 17's on a 7 series does not. If there were a name brand wheel, some of ya'll would be FAP'ing to it. True story.

Re: Evo Photoshoot in Baltimore

well i wouldn't because the wheels aren't my style. but when people spend all this money on a car, and then skimp on wheels is always funny to me. work or volk wheels aren't that expensive. hell he could have found a used set for few extra hundred bucks. unless he got these used, in which case, you shouldn't be driving an evo

like i've said in previous threads, trying too hard. if you can't coin the style, simply do what you do. instead, you look like a fool who's trying too hard. just my theory.

I can agree for the most part. Hell I had stock wheels on my Evo the entire time I owned it. And I JUST put wheels on my S and I've had it almost 4 years. I wouldn't rock a knock off wheel but i also don't knock those whom do have em. And understand, the Evo 8 is not that 30k car it used to be. you can get one now for 10k or less depending on the year/condition.

The stockers are 17x8 enkei's. I don't understand why people do this to evo's and sti's, these cars are basically purpose built.

Take this shit to TST. They worship trendy shit like this on there, you're from Jersey you know what I'm talking about.

Dam guys. lol. I mean yeah i agree the stickers tacky but other wise i liked it. I'm guessin everyone on here is rockin ccw's or volks on their dd? Mb Battles aren't exactly cheapo like drag wheels...not as bad as you all are making them out to be at least..i know "stanced" is some euro bandwagon shit but i enjoy it as well as many others based on the turn out for import alliance..that's fuckin all there is anymore. The roofrack wasn't really a "trendy" thing as my buddy goes kayaking and biking and shit...once winter hits he's all about snowboarding and all that. It's not stock, got all the supporting mods and cams and whatnot to get it between 3-350. Meth will be going on shortly. I know it's not the 1000whp cars you all drive but i mean it'sa fun functional dd? i dunno...i mean i understand the hating on the stickers but i didn't see everyone bein this harsh...guess that's vadriven.

If people hate it, they hate it. That's pretty much it. And yes, I'm driving my DD on Racing Harts. And I waited a very long time until I could afford the wheel I wanted. I wasn't hating on his wheels, I actually defended him a bit. However, what'd you expect. VADriven AKA Harsh reality.

and actually I don't think it looks that bad (minus the trendy sheeple crap). I've seen much worse here.

The car has a lot of potential, but it's the small details that make the car ugly to me. The taillights (and all the other "blacked out" lights for that matter), front bumper, front lip, roof rack, stickers, hood, etc. It's all about the details.

I don't mind the wheels. Pretty much everything else is awful.

Wish I would have thought to invest in roof-rack companies when canibeat became so popular.

I don't see anything wrong with Rota. Not feeling the wheel design. Gotta laugh at the evo and rally comments. Rally evos don't run stock enkies. But what the hell do I know, I hard park my camry.
