I took these photos at the shittiest shop I've ever seen in my life. The place is near Waynesboro and the shop owner has been in business for almost 40 years building the worst contraptions to traverse Virginia's highways and byways. The photos are too kind to these cars: They're worse than horrible.

 

looks like they just weld shit together. also looks like they suck at most of the stuff they do.

 

the dually VW bus has potential, and is deifnalty the only one that looks like it's worth a shit

I think him being in business has more to do with the fact that he owns the property and draws Social Security rather having to do with his actual production. There were thick layers of dust on everything and the guy likes reliving his youth to anyone who comes through. I'm convinced he no longer knows how to turn a profit. He has a Karmann Ghia that was disassembled for restoration in 1980 and he last turned a wrench on it in 1985. My wife would like a Karmann Ghia, so I asked how much he wanted for it in its disassembled and unfinished state. His response was "Twelve thousand dollars." I about shit myself.
