Daily Driver Project Build
Well, since I have been in Raleigh I have yet to have something I enjoy driving on a daily basis. The tahoe is only so much fun and the civic gets good MPG but 192whp is not cutting it. The black 350z is more of a garage queen then anything so I decided I need something fun that I am not so worried about.
My first thought would be to trade the civic plus cash for something more luxurious while keeping good mpgs. I decided that another Z is the only answer.
Car: 2004 Nissan 350z Enthusiast 54k Clean Title
Mods:
VIS Carbon Hood
VIS Carbon Trunk
2006 350z Track Wheel
Kirk Cage
Plans
Motor:
06 Rev-up Motor (12/18/09)
Brian Crower Sprigns/Retainers (January)
JWT Cams (January)
ARP Headstuds (January)
Momentum Exhaust
03/04 Lower Plenum with Moterdyne Plenum Spacer
Momentum Motor Mounts
Haltech Platinum Standalone
Suspension/Brakes:
Momentum Suspension Components
Momentum Exhaust
SPC Camber Kit
D2 Coilovers
Megan Racing LCAs
AP Racing Big Brake Kit
Wheels/Tires:
CCW Classics (February)
BFG KDWs
Turbo Kit: (January)
Power Enterprise Twin Turbo Kit (Twin PE-1420 Turbos)
Custom intercooler setup
Custom Downpipes
Interior:
Bride Seat
Custom Painted console
Alpine Sound system
Momentum Shift Knob
Nardi Steering wheel (March)
Kirk Rollbar
Takata Harnesses
Exterior:
VIS Carbon Trunk
VIS Carbon Hood
06+ Bixenon Lights
APR Splitter
APR Spoiler
10% Tint
S2k Antenna
In the long run, I am looking for a safe 475whp and 500ft/lbs.
I will post pictures as often as possible. The motor is set to go in Friday. It will be running NA till the suspension and brakes are finished. My goal is to have it running by the first of the year. (Two weeks) After that I would assume the build would slow down a bit.
One turbo
Two turbo

I don't know if you know this or not... but when you are leaving Kroger with a fresh thing of Ben & Jerry's "Half Baked" having a built turbo daily commuter is exactly what you need to hurry home and let the nom nom nom'ing begin.
OP.. if you don't like B&J Half Baked, you're a faggot and this shit is stupid.

Re: Daily Driver Project Build
I had a feeling people were going to have comments along those lines.
I like to drive something that I enjoy driving. The suspension rides nice, it will have a very nice stereo, and plenty of power. I also want a car that I can take to the track and not worry as much about. Its no different then a Zo6 corvette as far as power and ride quality
I daily drove my black z for two years.

Re: Daily Driver Project Build
It is a long story behind this car. To keep it short friend built the car, ran out of money, parted the car, and sold the shell to me. But I got it pretty cheap.
I have seen shells for 5k which is not terrible if you think about it. A VQ swap is cheap. Just make sure it comes with all of the wiring
