I think he traded the motor for a b16 or an ls/vtec setup (dont ask me why cause boosted on 8psi it was fun as shit and was tip top) but im sure he had his reasons. And then traded it to another guy plus some cash for an audi or something, The guy i got it back from only had it for a few days and i guess he didnt really like ek's so he called me up and we straight traded for my 4dr ef. of course the 97 had no motor, the a/c had been ripped out AGAIN, and the paint was hurting cause of lack of care, but i damn sure wanted that car back since everything except the motor was the same as when i sold it. The guy i originally sold it to i guess got into two small fender benders and the front hood and bumper were tapped and the rear bumper as well was tapped, nothing major, just panel damage. So since then ive put a stock motor in it with new radiator and such, ripped the interior back apart and redid the entire car in sound deadening to quiet it up again(since someone tookit out for another unknown reason),cleaned up the interior and put some del sol seats in i, Ive bought another a/c system to install in the car, and since the paint and a few panels were not so hot i have bought all new parts and painted all of them yesterday, going to install them monday and then take the car to shine car shine to get the car polished up and detailed to get all the swirl marks and scratches out, cause i really hate buffing and shine car shine is awesome. I just need to paint the moldings, and finish up the belt moldings in black and then spray the rear bumper. didnt have room for it when i did the other parts, then install it all. It would take a really good offer for me to sell this car again, my wife cried when i sold it and almost freaked when she came home and the car was in the garage, she didnt want me to sell it in the first place cause of what i had gone through restoring it.

Wow, paint looks really good. It'd too bad people went and messed around with it. I think the car was perfect as is. The motor was sem-rebuilt, you took care of a ton of cosemtic issues and power adders. Oh well, guess some people don't appreciate certain things, like quality.

If you are ever serious about getting rid of her. Let me know before it goes back on the market please .

I'm sure you're more than covered up there, but if you need a hand with any detailing stuff, let me know.

I'm glad I sold all my cars.

I've never understood why people have attachments to cars like they are people or something. It's just a car and super easy to replicate later if you decide you liked it more than a current car.

If I didn't sell my previous cars I wouldn't have owned as many cool cars as I have. It's not like I couldn't buy another one someday anyways.

Different strokes for different folks. I miss my old S2000, even though the one I have now is nicer in every way. I miss my old '97 GSR I had just because it was the first car I ever really messed with. And I miss my '86 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z because it's pretty much irreplaceable. I miss that bone stock '93 Civic hb I posted too.

agreed, as far as motor platform, suspension and the parts on it when i bought it i was happy, drove great etc. just needed some major attention in the paint department and some other upgrades that i thought were neccasary,so since i was single and didnt have a house, i did them. ha...but now that im married and have a home, kinda harder to put the money into it like i would really want to..the guy i sold it to was a nice kid, college kid so i guess he just didnt have the time to take care of it. i understand though cause college takes up time. Understandable that it wasnt kept up as well, the guy i got it back from just didnt want an ek and didnt want to put the money into fixing all the paint issues, understand that as well cause it would have cost him alot of money, im lucky in that aspect as i get great prices on parts, and of course i can spray everything. I have a d16y8 that i plan on building and boosting, wont be as fun as the boosted gsr but will be fun no less. i damn sure miss the fun of that boosted gsr motor, wish i could afford to get another b swap in this thing. but im just trying to get it looking right again, then i can slowly build the motor for some fun speed.

as far as selling it. i would for the right price, but i would definitely not be pressed to sell it as i would only want to sell it if i could get either a really nice integra or a wrx again.

thanks, but im gonna finish up the paint, install everything than drop it off at shine car shine. i saw two black cars they finished up the other day, needless to say i was speechless and i know i could not do a better job of buffing a car out like they did, and i hate buffing in general. takes too damn long. ha.
