"Bestfriend Cruise" LSB E46 M3 with a new heart and other goodies
We will go ahead and call this the "bestfriend cruise."
I've been in Colorado for 3 months at school and this weekend I flew home and to Virginia to surprise my friends and family. I surprised my mother Friday morning, and spent the rest of the day fixing the multiple things wrong with the E46 that I had diagnosed while I was away. The car pulls like a freight train now. For those of you who haven't been following, the motor blew in May after I had the car for two months. I finished the swap in my garage in August two and a half days before I left for school. Anyway, on with the pics and videos from today's "bestfriend cruise." My mates on the bike and in the V8 MG have been two of my bestbestfriends for a long time. Not to mention one of my longtime friends who was riding shotgun with me. It was really great to go out and take a cruise on a beautiful afternoon, just like old times.

Disclaimer: Before anyone asks or makes snide remarks about the lack of hood, IT IS NOT COOL, THIS GUY RIGHT HERE IS NOT A FAN OF HOODLESS CARS, allow me to explain. For the first test drive after the swap, we didn't have the full front clip back on. I was moving cars getting ready to pull the M out of the garage, so my buddy secured the last thing, the hood. I trusted him, he had been invaluable help through the entire swap, hence why I couldn't really be mad. About a 1/2 mile down my street at 20mph and the hood flew up and hit the windshield. It didn't damage the windshield, and the hood is very repairable. I'm currently saving money to get the hood fixed and painted along with my new front and rear setup. I want all the paint to match as best it can.

The car has 99k miles on it, the motor now has 76k approximately. It is out of an 02 with VAC race rod bearing and bolts, high volume oil pump, fresh valve adjustment, and a dyno sheet for 305whp with a very similar setup to what I'm running. Next step is to get a larger intake elbow between the MAF and plenum and to swap out my stock dual mid sections for a single 3 inch with a resonator. Then I'll be ready for an EPIC tune from Bimmerworld. Should put me somewhere north of 320whp, dunno how much so I don't want to speculate.

No need to be snippy, I'm not running anywhere. I forgot my password for my other username "meeahtah" I believe it was. Anyway, I made this account a long ass time ago and I'm probably just gonna go back to using it.
