bad ass chevy efi conversion
This is my Baby my 1978 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd pick up I Just put the new edelbrock 1000 cfm fuel injetion conversion it was very simple and looks and runs like a whole different engine the power plant is a 400cid small block with 1.6 roller rockers 280h comp cam ported and pollished heads KB 10.25:1 forged piston punched 60 over forged lower end all balanced 3" exhaust MSD box and distributor ran high 12 1/4 mile before conversion the blue intake and carb is what i took off tell me what ya'll think

nothing really "bad-ass" about an edelbrock TBI EFI conversion.
Now, if you had fabbed up a sheet metal intake with direct port nitrous injection and MPFI, THAT would be a different story.
But, nice work nevertheless.

and im sure it was actually done because winter is coming....them old chevys take about 20 minutes of warming up in the cold...otherwise they will cut off at every light you stop at

Edit: Just looked on Edelbrock's site. We make the Pro-Tuner EFI kit ECUs, not the lower-end red ECUs.

It is the pro flo 2 kit yes the ecu is red seems to work perfectly very responsive and it is actually multi port injection with a 4 barrel throttle body nitrous might be later spent to much money as it is LOL just decided to save up and get the aluminum heads from edelbrock. the heads on there now only have 1.94" valves they flow good but 2.02" would be so much better not to mention the weight loss thanks for the input also thinking about switching to serpintine belt drive if any one has any first and expertiseson the differnt kits available let me know
