So As some of you know, the Buick has been long since dead and gone. I ran into some issues and parted it out and cut up the shell. it was a hard decision to make, but buying a house and a job shift made me direct my priorities to grown up stuff.

I picked this up about a week ago (insert shitty rap song here) for the very low price of free, was trading some wheels and another car I had for it and made it mine. The damage you see in the picture was not present when I first saw the car and made the deal however.. Guy was having some trees trimmed and I couldn't pick it up till this past Saturday and wouldn't you know my luck but for a branch to fall and smash it to shit. . it was some tires and fresh gas away from being my new daily HOWEVER I did get to keep part of the trade ( the wheels I had since they were worth more) and came out on top anyway.

The car is an 87 Monte Carlo SS. One documented owner, 79K original miles and COMPLETELY rust and rot free. T tops, all power options and burgundy/burgundy. This car has been the ideal choice for me for about 7 years but was never able to find one that wasn't rotten or donk'd out.

The plans are to replace the A pillar and windshield and door glass. All other structural pieces are ok. The engine runs like a top, so tune up/oil change, headers and exhaust since the junky 305 isn't worth spending any money on performance modifications. Eventually I will replace the front nose panel since its cracked and have the seats recovered and door panels as well then paint the car its factory color. But I will drive it once I replace the A pillar just like it is.

What's eventually going in it, or are you leaving the 305 in since it only has 79K?

 

I'm going to leave the 305 in it. Everything is there, it hasn't been hacked up or destroyed and it runs too good to remove.

I'll paint it, put some dope wheels on it and slam it to the ground and just enjoy it probably.


BUT if it blows up I can see myself going full retard again very easily.

Same here lol... the paint on the uinderside of the trunk lid shines like its fresh off the showroom floor.

Literally all this car needed was some tires and paint and it would have looked the part of a low mileage garaged G Monte Carlo

That things going too be dope when you get it done man! This was really the only Monte Carlo I ever thought looked good. It's a shame that limb feel on it. Awesome find man!
