What's with the confusing piece of aluminum on top of the valve cover?

its a factory heatshield, i think its supposed to reduce heat from the engine getting to the factory top mount intercooler.

Me too! i had a rust free nx, with a det swap, i just didnt like the shell, it was kind of a rat rod. Friend of mine wanted it, so i let it go. i found a pair of nxs a few months back, one was pretty nice, i think i paid 500 for the pair. sold the white one for a grand (it was a rusted bitch), WHORED the blue parts car out, and junked it. The guy who bought the white nx brought me the ser with a clean title, and GAVE it to me. He had been parting it out, and come to the point where nobody wanted it or any parts. anyways, the ser is COMPLETELY rust free. even the pinch welds are clean, no bends from carless owners and their jacks. Florida car.

I've never been a fan of the NX body style, but the Sentra looks like a cool project. Interesting factory top mount intercooler too, I don't know much about Nissan stuff so I've never seen one of those before.

Pulsar gtir came from the factory with all wheel drive, individual throttle boddies, 8.3 to 1 compression, solid lifters, sodium filled valves, a t28 turbo, top mount, 444cc injectors, and 230 hp bone stock. Now my experiance with boosted srs, and t28s, puts a sr20det on 7 psi (wastegate spring) at around just that, 230 hp or so. BUT pulsar gtir came with a FACTORY electronic boost control solenoid, which is controlled by the ecu. The secondary position is 11 psi, which should make it closer to 250 hp stock.....thats me considering that boost soldenoid stock. anyways, im babbling, but it seems a stock gtir swap, with that solenoid at 11 psi would make an easy 250 hp. pretty bad ass for a stock early 90s motor.

ITBs on a factory turbo car? Sweet... Are they decent sized or are they small enough that everyone gets rid of them when they start making higher power?
