As for the Z/28 vs. Boss... Z/28 will shit all over it. The LS motors make substantially more mid-range torque than the Coyote engines and the Z/28's IRS with MSRC (Magnetic Selective Ride Control) and PTM (Performance Traction Management) will shit all over the Boss' live axle and dual-mode shocks. |
Re: 2014 Camaro Z28
I like what Chevy is trying to do by cutting weight. You get the best of both worlds that way...more acceleration and better cornering. Although the taillights do remind me of an Integra, I can't figure out why people are so offended by them. First everyone bitches about the Stingray's tails and now the Z28. If Chevy does it again we might see a riot.
Also, anyone else think that "SS" looks like a rebranded G8? I like it. |
Re: 2014 Camaro Z28
I think you meant '98 Prelude on the tails. Someone a bit older than me said they're inspired by a '74 Camaro. After looking up pics of one I would be inclined to agree.

Yeah suppose you're right...and yeah I see the inspiration. Its cool when they pay tribute to past generations of a car line with subtle hints like that.

I like Chevy but they keep trying to strip weight why not just add more power? I mean the zl1 is a track car the copo is a straight line track only car but why not make a high hp straight line street car?
Straight line street car? People like to take turns not street race in a widebody integra. |

Those new wheels don't look overly heavy and the carbon rotors are light. I think the car is awesome from a looks and equipment perspective, but end of the day a 10+ year old C5 Z06 will run circles around it at the track. The car is very cool, but I don't see the point in buying one unless you just have to have a factory new trackable Camaro.

Re: 2014 Camaro Z28
All this is great, but I wish they'd bring back the 6.2 GTO. Maybe that's just too many choices though. It may be my imagination, but it seems like everyone will have to start taking Murican sports cars seriously soon. We finally figured out that curves are more fun than straight lines. :D
