Default Your thoughts on the Evo 8 RS...

Okay, I found this killer deal on a 05 Evo rs with 11k mi for $15k nd I'm def considering buying it but I wanted to know if all the RS models came without a/c, pd, pw, hid, sunroof etc? Can some of these options be purchased from the dealer at the time of purchase? I will be buying from a private seller and he list the car being "loaded"? I haven't been able to contact him to ask him detailed info on the car but I think either way, with the price listed, it's still a good ass deal right? I'm hoping once I reach him, I can find out more about the car and if it has a clean title and etc.

The RS is a gutted version of the EVO, no map light, no pdl, no pdw, no ac, no wing on the back, etc. Its a lighter version on the base EVO VIII

honestly that is one hell of a deal...sounds a little too good. Anything wrong with it?

yes the RS can be equipped with AC and power goodies...but it doesnt come with sunroof since it has an aluminum roof like the MR.

The power packages is A/C, Power lock and windows and a radio. HID is an aftermarket product.

That's what I wanted to know for sure. I know the RS is the stripped down version for weight saving but having a/c and pd and pw would be real nice.

It depends if the seller or who ever first bought the car bought the Power Package or not.

Definately DO a compression and boost leak check.

$15K for a car without A/C?

There is only one new car I would consider without A/C and that's a 2000 Cobra R.
