Yeah, the V2 on the RSX is short ram and expensive. They say it makes about the same power as the cold air but I was still worried about heat soak. I got the injen cold ram for 211 shipped and it sounds awesome and the power is pretty good for the money I spent. Less than the V2 and more power worked for me.

Well, from ClubRSX, the V2 is about 240, which is still kinda expensive seeing as how i can get a CAI for 180. The thing with the V2 is that is uses different sized piping chambers to deliver a denser air charge to the engine. From what i have read from reviews, the V2 has a miniscule amount of heat soak, not compared to a CAI but pretty dang close. So basically put, the V2 performs almost on par with a CAI.

I am a member of ClubRSX. I ordered my injen from them. I have seen every retarted V2 vs CAI thread on that board. Stoped reading them after three of them because my brain could not take the stupid arguments anymore. I know heatsoak on the V2 is suppose to be miniscule but I went with the CAI because I could not see paying more for less power.... Sure with the CAI you need to watch where you drive in the rain but it is not that bad. So what benefit is there to the V2?

It's called frequency resonance guys. The chambers don't really deliver a denser air charge. I don't understand why they would develop such an intake for the RSX and leave it sucking warm air. If AEM is gonna keep trying to get turbo hp out of a fucking intake they're gonna need to totally change their design. The simple tube design has reached it's limits and to be honest, the development time that goes into an intake like that isn't worth it when you guys are putting it on your stock DX civics. Hell Comptech took frequency resonance into account for the intake on my S2000 and even that motor doesn't really benefit from it. The thing is, buying one intake over another because it makes 2hp more in the manufacturers claims is retarded. You buy an intake cuz it sounds cool, face it. Thats why I bought mine, exhaust too, and test pipe.
