first offense for speeding ticket...
It's a good thing you didnt run.
Running....
Now that would have been dumb. If caught you probably would have lost your license till you were 21.
Everyone gets tickets when they're young. Its part of growing up.
Think i had about 4 tickets by time i was 19.

i got a question, me and my friend were pulled over in the neighborhood while he was fixing his altenator wire or somthing and a cop pulls around the corner and pulls up behind us. he didnt turn his red/blue lights on just the flood light, and he proceeded to write my friend a ticket for what says "illegal muffler." he didnt make my friend sign the ticket and he said the fine is $25. is it just me or did this cop mess up.. i thought they MUST have their lights on and you MUST sign the ticket...?

signing the ticket is just an agreement stating that they will show up in court. did the guy have his car running or anything? that seems like a VERy easy ticket to get out of.

Sadly, I don't think Tommy's car would outrun the mid-high 16 second car.

Just go to court, don't mail in the ticket. It will be 6 months probation.

Same thing happened to me a while back if anyone remembers over in Suffolk. My friend and I both were pulled over.

I didn't have to take the class. Just served the 6 months, and that was it.

well as far as having the ticket signed...yeah the summons must be signed to make official....so if you didn't sign it sux for the cop.go to court on that...plus not to mention that it was a moving violation that you got written for...so unless you were moving or the cop observed you moving that ticket is toilet paper....and as for the speeding ticket....my advice is to just pay it an move on....because if it was with a radar your not gonna have a good chance of geeting out of it....but hey its up to you.

dont pay it, if its your FIRST ticket 99.9% of judges will tell you to take a driver improvementw ithin 6 months and its dismissed.

you shouldnt just pay any tickets, always goto court unless taking off work would cost you more money.

take this advice from me...i have gotten 6 tickets, been pulled 9 times, served community service hours, had my license revoked, and my record is miraculously clean...go to court, the judge in yorktown is mad cool and will just give you probation on the first offense and possibly make you take a class, i didnt have to take the class.

the car was running, we was pulled over to the side and the cop just rolled up on us. i think the cops quota was low because he said to just show up in court and he will tell the judge that my friend didnt know that the muffler was illegal and that he had it fixed and it will be dropped. my friend was like well why did you give me the ticket in the first place and the cop didnt say anything..
