Yeah, you're right on the wheels/tires. The main reason I went with the Teins is to get the front down. But, once I saw them on another car, they just make it look right. Like it should have been from the factory.

Here's a couple of close-up shots of the wheel gap...

What year is it? The suspension is different from the 02/03 to the 04/05. You can usually lower the 02/03 more than you can the 04/05. But with 8" wide wheels you will probably have clearance issues matter what. What offset are they?

i got a 2003 WRX.......i figured tha teins would lower my car 2 in tha front(like tha tanabes)........tha only difference would be tha extra half inch in tha rear id get from tha tanabes......i did see a silver wrx 02, on cardomain.com.....it had 17 by 8......225/45 tires and a Perrin suspension...lowerin tha car 1.9 front 1.5 rear..it looked fine...........lemme try to find a link and post it....

check it out....i guess it was 7.5 width...............but i really dont think tha tanabes will lower it to a point where tha gap will completely disappear..........allowing extral clearance.......i dunno.......u ever seen a tanabe suspension on a wrx before?

Those should be okay. The offset is the most important thing. Stock offset is 53mm. Most wheel companies only make 42mm offset. Mine are 48's and I don't have any clearance issues, so I doubt you will. You might want to check on www.wrxtuners.com in the "handling mods" forum. There are a few people on there who are more "suspension-smart" than me.
