Does that come from the factory with forged internals?

well......hmmm. I had a y7 block with a y8 vtec head (mini me). i boosted 12psi daily (which i wouldnt recomend) I blew her up after about 2 months ......i guess the lil guy couldnt handle the 14-16 psi boost spikes from my Damaged wastegate!!!

If you boost it.....dont go over 8 psi without internal work or a real good tune job. And yes it is fun.

ive had both.....i loved the boost....so satisfying to hear the spool of the turbo and feel boost kick in. If you plan on not modifiying the car all out....go with the boosted sohc...it gives you a lil more umph. ..if you want big power with more potential to upgrade....go with the "big brother" the B16

I did it to a 95 ex last week, i dunno if its the same engine code but its a single cam vtec. Hes running 8 lbs with only valve springs. Hes building up his internals to go higher boost. I personally wouldnt do it because id rather do a swap. IMO the troubles you'll go through arent worth that engine. I dont know if everyone has the same problems but seeing his shit makes me much rather just have a N/A swap.
