no real easy way to to it bro. i'm sure there are a few wires that could be tucked but it's not gonna look like what you want without cutting up a harness. where were you last night anyways?

The guy that wrote "how to clean your engine bay" is a little misinformed..
"Wiring that was re routed. No wires were shortened or lenghtened. when extending or shortening wiring you can effect the resistance in that line. and could affect how your engine performs"

That's a load of crap. Lengthening a wire that has miliohms of resistance per foot isn't going to "affect how your engine runs". The smallest bit of dirt, oxidation, corrosion, whatever, is going to have many times the affect that changing wire length does. I know that guy doesn't know any better, but if you don't know any better, why say something like that? Moving the wires around can do more harm than lengthening them, abd you run the risk of picking up interference from the ignition, injectors, etc. I'm not saying that will be a problem, I'm just saying there are more important things to worry about than the insignificant resistance change from shortening or lengthening a wire.

Everyone should do this mod if they want, don't be scared. If you can work on your engine, you can move some wires around. Moving wires isn't some black art that you have to go to ninja school to learn.
Just take your time, pay attention, and make sure you can solder if you want it to come out the best it can. Sticking to the stock wire lengths isn't going to get you very far. If you need to get wire, try to find some GXL or TXL automotive wire, it's fairly cheap, high temp, and has excellent resistance to solvents and abrasion. The TXL is thinwall insulation, that's my favorite because it's very close to the stock wires type.

By the way, if you're thinking about tucking your harnesses, make sure you pay careful attention to where they are going. Some of the stock wire runs are done to keep the harnesses out of high heat areas, etc. so keep that in mind. I'd be more concerned about the loom that the wire itself.

I'm done ranting now.

Lets all have a look at this pic again... air goes in, air goes out... very pretty, very simple!

Looks like it could use a little work on its air filtration though

itb's or not 1) they make filters for those and side draft carbs 2) they still allow dirt to get into the engine w/o proper filtration.

Nah, I know what they are, I am just hoping that its a drag car only... Would they really lose a whole lot of power by throwing something on over those?

Why a drag car only? ITBs have great throttle response and good top end power (tuneable through velocity stack length), they are used more often in road racing than drag racing.. There are a lot of filtration systems out there for ITBs, lots of cars like Caterhams, Westfields, etc come stock with filter socks over the throttle bodies. It doesn't look as nice, but if you want to protect your engine..

Because this car specifically in question here has no air filters on it.
