what a diagnostic nightmare if you did stretch things and a solder joint (or2 or 3) was cold...

 

Ive done this on two cars. First let me warn you; you MUST buy another harness, because you are going to chop the hell out of the wires to re-route them. The actual process is not very difficult, just extremely time consuming! Try to un-loom, and re-route one group of wires at a time so you won't get confused. Just route most of the wires through the frame of the car (lights, horn, blinkers, etc) and as for the wires that go to the engine, route them to the center of the firewall, right behind the motor, and use wire ties to hide them as they make their way to their destination. When its all done, it looks sweet. Good luck.

 

Oh, side note. In case anyone is wondering, the interior wire harness weights 17 pounds (in a civic) without the fuse box. If your looking to shave weight, this is not the place to start.

they are Spoon resivoir (sp?) socks, just for looks. Kinda like a cozy for your fluids but it doesn't do anything other than hiding the ugly cheap plastic. A lot of companies make them but for Hondas, Spoon seems to be the most popular you see.

 

They are there to catch any fluids that might leak.


That shit does look nice, it almost looks like not enough to have a running motor...

I guess it could catch any leaks, but if the cap was put on properly you shouldn't have a problem with leaking fluids in the first place.
