Default who knows transmissions?

i'm going to build a gsr engine. with ls/VTEC head. boosted later. but being a marine mechanic, i haven't got a clue about transmissions. i read in another post that b16 would work best here. i want acceleration over top end. how much do the b-series trannys differ? is there anything else i should consider in choosing a transmission?
any help is appreciated.

You want shorter gears, so try an...

Y21/S21 from a Delsol
S4C from a 99-00 Civic Si
or an...
S80 from an ITR

The GSR Y80/S80 trannies were the slowest of vtec trannies but still better than a LS tranny
