I saw an older pickup at a truck show at my high school one year that had something like that. It was all shaved, roll pan and everything, and his license plate folded up when he turned his truck off. Pretty flippin sweet.

As for me...I just took my front license plate off. Don't think we need them here in NC.

 

I wish I could run around with no plate.

 

Retractable plates have kinda been around for a while.

 

Front plates are over rated.

 

That's nothing new... hotrodders have used them for years. I don't run one on the vette, but I like how it looks on the front of my truck.

They make a few different kinds of hide-away plates.. Some of them flip up, some of them retract, and some of them cover theirselves up. Pretty neat though!
