Default White-ing out tail lights.

My friend recently used VHT Nite shades to black out his tail lights and blinkers, but I was wondering if it was possible to "white" out tail lights...

I'm no painting expert so i was wondering since no product exists could you mix white paint with clear coat to get the desired effect or would they not blend well enough to work?

Yes, you can paint your taillights white (nearly any paint will work if prepped correctly), but it's probably illegal and will result in getting pulled over a lot, which of course will result in you blaming it on driving an import.

My turn signals were gloss white when I bought my car. I seem to remember Hycote Van Paint was used.

But don't do that shit.

Wow, I can't even picture that in my head. Why do you want to mess with your taillights? Blacked out tails look stupid too, just leave them alone..

If you're really deadset on making something that ugly, don't start with red tails, because they'll end up pink with any kind of non-opaque paint or gradient film on them. Start with clear tails and go from there. It's all illegal, so you might as well go with as many illegal parts as you can.

I drive an Acura with green steelies.

And when a dude who drives an Acura with green steelies thinks something is going to look like shit you should probably take that as some sort of sign.
