Where should I hide my radar
I took the circuitboard out of my friends, and soldered a led....ran a led to the gauge pod to show either red/green/none depending on threat level. The circuit board I put in the map light.
Works like a charm

why are alot of the people here on drag a bunch of dicks? Someone asks for advice and you all have to flame him about it. I truly think this forum has gone to hell because of those "individuals" and they are starting to cause conflict outside the forum (on the streets). The problem should definetly be addressed but i understand the admin just doesn't have the man power to stop them all. I just wish that the forum could get back to its roots where people would come to give advice and discuss helpful ideas.....
oh and by the way, in NY i know alot of people hide the detectors in their front grilles and have it somehow wired to the stereo to beep in over the music.

To make the display really invisible.. :
Cut a slot in the bottom of your gauge cluster, in front of the glass, put a filler peice of smoked/tinted plexi in the slot, and put the LEDs under that. Playing with the LED direction will make the LEDs reflect perfectly off of your gauge glass, like a HUD display. Looks really cool and can be done totally stealth if you go about it the right way..
You can also do this in the top of your cluster, but there is usually a lot less room over the cluster than under.. The one bonus of on the top is that you have to look from below to see anything non-stock about the gauge bezel..
I could really give a shit about radar detectors, I wouldn't use one, but it's still a fun installation project.
