Where can I get an LS1 w/ tranny?
I'm looking around at prices on a complete LS1 motor with tranny, wiring harness, computer and the works (AC, PS, etc). Don't ask what I'm doing with it because it's top secret right now. I'm sure someone will be able to guess though, I won't confirm it though.

No matter what my interest in the LS1 is, it's blasphemy any way you look at it.
I don't really care what other people think, if you like it... that's cool that you can appreciate it. If you don't, join the crowd...

speartech sells LS1s they just dont advertise their package prices. send them an email. you could probably get an lt1 out of a caprice or an impala SS for way cheaper and afford to build it. but its your choice. either one will scoot, especially in a little car.

I think they want around 6000 for the motor and tranny.
If you are going to do what I'm thinking your doing, use the LS1 it's lighter.
Think about swapping the cam out at the least.
I'm a cam only car and I've got 380rwhp.

How much does the LS1 edit run? I have a Microtech LTX8 that can run the LS1 with ANY mods that I want to do (including twin turbo, supercharging and/or nitrous). The Microtech is a FULL standalone system. If the LS1 edit is better though, then I'll just sell the Microtech for some extra cash.
