Question Where can I buy a rebuilt RX-7 engine?

I have a friend that is looking at buying a rebuilt 12A short block for his 1983 RX-7. I already know of Atkins, Mazdaspeed, and Racing Beat. They want too much, I know you can find them cheaper. I bought an used J-Spec 13BT like 2 years ago but gave all the info to the guy who I sold the car to. The place was in SC or NC. I paid about $900 with shipping. The engine is supposed to have about 60K on it. Any help would be appreciate.

Atkins has them for less than about $1600. That's about the going price.. I have seen them as low as $1300ish, but I question what you get there.

I'm about to rebuild the one in my car - blown oil seal. That's always an option if your friend or you have any mechanical talent. They are pretty simple motors. roadRacer (on here) just rebuilt a 12A for his daughter's car.

I really don't have the time, but I have already rebuilted and streetported one with a friend of mine a couple years ago. They are pretty easy to work with but you don't want to screw something up.
