My engine is in need of cleaning...if you know some good stuff that wont screw anything motorwise up....lemme know

Local self-serve carwash.....engine degreaser. Works good, just be careful where you spray.

any degreaser and a shop rag, wipe all the dirt and grime off, then use a GOOD tireshine (nothing cheap, something that wont corrode rubber) and wipe down all your hoses and black running lines and shit.

degreaser and pressure hose, just make sure you cover up ingnition and alternator well. thats what Ive been doing for ever anyways.

simple green, bucket of water, wet rags, dry towels, tooth brush, and a brush bigger than the tooth brush. have fun.

How would you know, you actually have to drive your car for your motor to get dirty.

Im sure other kinds work well too but as stated, simple green has worked for me.
