Tahoe... Chevy 5.3 LSX V8 has more grunt than the OHC Ford motors of that era.

It has 330 ft-lbs of torque vs the 5.3's 335 ft-lbs, im sure that 5 ft-lbs makes a huge difference. :rolleyes:

It's all about where it makes the torque and for how long... the chevy has pushrods so it of course wins the torque battle ;)

Just always keep an eye on your coolant with the tahoe, don't let it get low or you'll be replacing intake gaskets.


and I'd venture away from the Exped. They have a lot of problems, esp with coolant leaking onto the number four coil from the heater hose. A lot of TSB's and Recalls. Plus the Chevy is more Luxiurious in my opinion.
