What would be considered a fair trade?
I want to trade my car for a later C4 or early year C5 ('97-99) vette (around 100k miles) My car specs. . .
'88 Pontiac Fiero - clean title, approx 118k on chassis
Optioned out (power everything/sunroof)
Suspension completely powder coated/redone
Brand new paint (black)
coilovers all around
Poly bushing all the way around
Vette brake conversion
stainless brake lines
3800 Series II approx 500+ rwhp
GT35R (running approx 22-25psi)
Diamond Coated/Forged pistons
stage 2 cam, stage 2 heads, electric water pump, etc (built)
walboro 307 fuel pump
60# injectors
Custom headers, ceramic coated
6 Speed G6 GTP manual trans
Front extractor hood
Custom fuel rails
Complete set autometer nexus gauges
Car is still being put together but the closer it gets to completion, the more and more I'm drawn to earlier C5's. I could front some cash as well. What do you think would be a fair trade, provided everything on my car is done clean. . .?

Re: What would be considered a fair trade?
Earlier high milage C5s can go from late teens to early twenties. A 1988 Pontiac Fiero isn't worth anything near that, even with all the great mods. I don't think you could find someone that would be willing to trade their C5 for a high milage, highly modified Fiero...even with cash involved.
Just my opinion...but good luck anyways

fully built fiero with 500whp.....maybe 9k?? (i know nothing about them)
a 97-99 high mileage vette can easily be found for as cheap as 16k. you may be able to get a c4 if you throw in a little though.

Re: What would be considered a fair trade?
If you want to find out what the car is worth post it on www.fiero.nl and you'll get some feedback. Personally I think its worth 7k to 9k but not much more and that's only if you have a dynosheet for that horsepower claim.
Corvettes are going mid teens. I'm not sure why you'd want to go C5 though because the Fiero is at least 500 lbs lighter and if its making 500hp would crush stock and even mod C5's all day long.
Either way you're going to need something like another $10,000 go go along with that car to get into a Vette... IMO (I've been known to be wrong)
