Ok, so the Supra is sold. I've looked at more than a dozen vettes and every one that is in the price range I was able to pay either had massive paintwork and ran like shit, or looked great and ran like shit. So I decided to change my plans and go after something different. All I've owned since I was 16 is sports cars, so I'm going to buy a jeep. I'm going to get a cherokee and jack it up and put a winch on it. I will spend no more than 5k on this. I'm looking to spend around 5-8k on a rwd or awd car that I will daily drive most of the time and auto-x semi-regularly. I've thought about a LS1 Camaro, wrx (higher end of my price range), sr20 240sx, mr2 turbo, etc.

What are your guys thoughts on what to buy? Only requirements I have are not FWD,faster than the supra and $8000 or less.

What would you guys recommend getting/looking at?

 

Get a Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 or a Dodge Stealth RT/TT. You can find a nice 1st Gen in that price range. 300hp AWD/AWS. Awesome cars. Don't underestimate the weight, they can hold their own and be inexpensivley modded nicely.

 

I'd get an import so the interior doesn't fall apart, and you aren't ashamed to have females sit in it.

 

I would try to get my Supra back. What the fuck did you get rid of it for?

haha and you already have a daily so you're set when the bitch grenades a brand new auto tensioner and your valves and pistons make friends.

Stay far, far away from these cars.

 

You'll laugh, you'll cry.....and cry some more.....and occasionally drive her....stay far away unless you are very VERY determined.
