Buy some 17" rims and tires and hit the track. Learn to drive your car hard, you can still drive at a track on a suspended liscense.

nice car, i have a e46 330ci, and so far i havent done anything but the Dinan Stage 1 ECU upgrade. But ive been looking and it's fuckin expensive to get real power out of our cars, it can be done but expensive...a racing head for the S54 from racing dynamics...which would put it at 412HP all motor without intake/exhaust...cost you over $12000... Real good FI kits must be custom built, cause most of the SC kits i see add like 100HP like the AA one...This is good...but for over $6000...you see civics putting over 500HP to the wheels for that kinda money...the kits have like 9lb pulleys cause the compression is soo high, its not safe to go much higher...you must custom tune your compression down...so that you can safely run big 20lb pulleys or even 20lbs from turbo kits...BMW by corporate design only makes NA cars (except i think the mini) they make excellent NA motors, but thers only so much a 3 liter I-6 can do on motor. i havent looked at e36 a lot...but ive looked at the S54 motor, and its bulletproof...steel forged crank and rods...forged aluminum pistons (im sure my M54 is not forged below)...tune that compression down and run huge SC's/turbo's. you need shops to custom build these...noone sells full kits this big...if your looking for performance you need around 500HP at the wheels to really own most imports, forget about runnin hooked up domestics...so for real power, your lookin at $10,000 - $15,000. if you just wanna add 100HP, dont waste $7000 to get a supercharger, just get a 100 shot for $1000 from a good shop, (you might need new pistons) tune it right, maybe a fuel system upgrade...you already have the intake/exhaust i think...and spend the rest of your money to pimp that shit out...the great thing about bimmers is theyre a total car...will look great even if its not too fast...goin all motor with that racing head is like puttin a spoon engine on a honda...it will loose to turbo civics...but it will rev nice and high...and be a precision built motor that will be apreaciated by you, the guy who built it, and the few people who respect/understand what has been accomplished...

I'll throw in a vote for a dinan or aa sc and a super sprint exhaust for a little over 300 to the wheels. good luck with boost leaks though...

Damn this is back from the dead. The AA SC kit sucks, under 300hp to the wheels AFTER FORCED INDUCTION - for $6k on a 3.2L engine, those results suck.

I might just sell my car and get a Triumph Daytona 600, and some beater.

keep the car and get charles aka bassmaster on bimmerforums to help you build a custom turbo kit and use sias tuning's tech 3 and you will be happy with the results. I regret the day I sold my turbo m3 I should have upgraded the turbo and bought a tec 3 and I'd be making 400whp easy by now
