At just under 3000 lbs they're no rocket but you're right, they are sexy. I autoX mine and have been quite successful so they are still a lot of fun.

Get a base 5 speed, no Sport Shift or SH (unless you leave it stock).

In a stick you have only 2 options. Base or SH. These differ only slightly and the majority of the diffs are cosmetic in nature except that the SH has ATTS (Active Torque Transfer System)(electronic LSD in a way). SH also comes with 3rd brakelight spoiler, door courtesy lights, body colored side skirts and rear under spoiler, and a couple other minor things.

All 5th gen preludes have sunroof, all power, 2.2 Vtec, cd player, same interior (97 & 98 Ficus green had 2 tone blk/tan interiors, all others have black), etc.

cool, then as long as i find a 5 speed, i won't have to worry about what trim it is...the only attraction of the SH to me is the painted sideskirts....thank you for all the information, i appreciate it...

The painted side skirts def look better. I switched mine out with SH skirts. I'm sure you know someone that could sand and paint base sides (I need to get my rear lip painted). SH is not as mod friendly. I put a LSD in my base and now have the best of both worlds. Glad to help.

eh, people go crazy for the OEM optional side skirts and rear but I don't particularly care for them. I think they're to bulky looking.

I think if you have the full (front, rear, sides) kit it matches up quite nicely. To each his own though

I want to trade/sell my POS to get one of these SO BAD. VERY nice cars, this is my favorite one: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/660842

But yes they are heavy for the amount of torque they have (156ft/lbs). Its about 3000lbs from what I remember reading. Run like low 15s, but launching is easy (not like my car ) and top end is supposed to be amazing. The gearing is much different from other Hondas t0o. They're rare enough to keep you from getting the typical honda-boy stereo-type, and they look sweet. It was supposed to be like the best handling car under 30k in 98 I think. Oh and they have this badass CD player that increases the volume as the nosie inside increases (I think). Also have a 7500rpm redline which is kinda badass.

Here are the specs: http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/w/j/wjr146/Billy.html
And heres a little history on um: http://absoluteprelude.com/forums/in...CODE=01&HID=18

Someone please trade me

Edit: Oh and don't get the SH unless you don't plan to go more than BPU (less than 250 Crank HP) since the ATTS can't handle the extra power you're making (or something like that). Plus they wiegh like 90 pounds more than the base.

IM me if you want an exhaust clip of a bunch of um (from a "tysons corner meet" according to the name of the file)
