Doc, I beg to differ on the 03 being hte best handling...

The Mach1 I believe takes the title of best overall mustang ever, the 03.. it is so tuff, has 3.55's I believe from the factory, has a nice 5 speed with good spacing.. and just is a great overall mustang.. the 03 is the best for out of the hole grunt... but the 6 speed is hard to get used to and I think it slows you down....

Dont get me wrong, the 03 is in a close race in the top 3 mustangs ever but I think most people that compare the two will take a mach1 as a all around or daily driving mustang.. over hte cobra...



Back to the topic - I would get the EVO, its just awesome.. again I think the STI 6 speed slows it down with all the shifts in there.. making the turbo spool, shift, spool, shift and so on.. let the turbo spool and use the power.. turbo's make pretty wide power bands..

hell for that much you could be looking at a S4, which is one hell of a car.

 

i know i can afford the vw and m3, not sure on how much ill save and how much ill get rid of mine for.

 

u got to think about maintence of s4 and m3 not cheap cars to own and vw interior parts break all the time they have alot of cheap parts

The 03 Cobra's handle better it has the IRS.
The 03 Cobra's are therefore faster on the roadcourse / track
The 03 Cobra's are faster in a straight line 'cause they come with about 100 more hp stock
The 03 Cobra's do just fine as a daily driver
The 03 Cobra's also come with the 3.55's stock
The 03 Cobra's six speed is nothing to get used to (I don't use 6th gear to go fast - do you?)
The 03 Cobra's flat out RAPES the MACH1!

 

Ya, I don't know why so many people think that a 6 speed tranny slows you down; or that you have to "shift more" because of it.

I never use 5th gear; I couldn't imagine going fast enough in a race to need 6th!!!!!!!!!!!!
