What brand of car speakers are good nowadays?
Well, my "system" sucks, and I'd like to purchase some new speakers for my car. I haven't looked into car audio stuff in several years so I have no idea what companies are good and which ones have slid downhill. All I'm looking for is a pair or 2 of 6 1/2" component speakers to go in my 95 civic, and I'll probably have some sound dampening installed along with them. Thanks for the help
From there, I may get a decent 10" sub and amp if it doesn't play the way I'd like it to.
Basically, suggestions would be great for all aspects of it. I already have an Alpine CDA-9815 that still works perfectly that's a few years old if that matters.

i worked at BB for a good while in the car audio dept....
i'd go with some infiniti component speakers for our front doors, then some polk audio or rockforde fosgate speakers for the rear....
combine it with a rockford p2 /p3 sub and it will sound amazing.
clear and clean, with crisp and not overwhelming bass.

Sorry Yimmy no advice for you as I am very pissy about my subwoofer I had installed by Tweeter up North. This is my seventh fucking speaker I have replaced in the spare tire hole in the trunk and I am sooooo fed up with it even though its under warranty. This has gone on for over a year now. JBL, Kicker, doesn't matter....whatever.....piss...moan...bitch...sulk. ..frown...guess it doesn't like my trance....fuggit...blah....the batteries are now going on the keyboard....AA or AAA? Grrrrrrrrr........

Infinity is good too. Rockford Fosgate can suck a dick on their small speakers. Their subs aren't bad though.
