The real key to this is not to have kids out of wedlock.

Just think....if you had bought $3 worth of condoms you wouldn't be worried about $2k.

So how about you go apply for a loan now (use your noggin here and decide how much you think you'll need to cover the rest of the car's loan if sold). I'd go pull a $4k-$5 loan, use that money to pay towards the car. Sell the car for fair market value (that way buyer gets a title). You take rest of the money from the sale after the car loan is paid off and apply to the personal loan you took out.

That's all of course if you have good credit and since you already have a repo on your credit, you might as well shit in one hand and wish in the other.

The offer is the same regardless of whether or not you buy a car.

If so, you should be able to use a credit card convenience check to cover the $2K. Typically you can do 0% for 12-18 months with a 3-4% transaction fee. Rates I've seen on signature loans are usually in the 6%+ range, so unless you pay it off under 6 months, the flat fee on a convenience check is a better deal.

Back in the days of 0% $0 transaction fees, a buddy of mine bought a WRX on his credit card and just kept rolling it onto a different 0% card every 6-12 months.
