Hey gotta 95 vr6 passat. my clutch pedal just fucking sticks to the floor some times... and lets in different places every now and then. anyone know what could be the cause? pressure plate? something?

 

This sounds like its the clucth master cylinder but I would make certain that there isn't any air in the clutch system. to bleed it bleed the master first and then the slave. repeat this a few times. But if the brake/clutch fluid is old then all that bleeding will just cause your brake and clutch cylinders to require replacment sometime within in the next year. Old crappy brake/clutch fluid is thick and absorbs water which will crust the inside of the systems and then wear out the seals. so when you bleed the system you will pull out the old thick crap and put in good fluyid which will seap past the leaky seals.

but back to my first recomendation was that its either air in the system or a master cylinder. usually 9/10 the slave cylinder will be dianosed by fluid dripping out from the bell housing of the tranny.

i missed typed, i ment that sometimes my clutch lets out in different places, IE: it will grab at the floor sometimes and then others in the middle like its supposed to.

I'd still say it's a hydraulic problem.

 

yeah, my a4 is releasing all the way at the top but the clutch is really strong. who knows.
