VA proposed display of only ONE license plate on vehicles
I'm glad this is finally a real possibility. I would really like to get rid of my front plate since whichever dumbass who had the car before myself thought it would be cool to not even put forth an effort to level the plate before they straight up tapped the screws right into my bumper...so now the plate sits crooked, and I sit pissed. It would be nice to take the plate off and plug them holes up

Ha! It didn't even make it out of committee.
The odds of of a bill like this passing are slim-to-none

Whether it passes or not, I'm still only rocking one plate.
EDIT: I'm not surprised it failed. Why would it pass anyway? As stated in another thread, the front tag is actually useful for police in catching criminals and it doesn't really hurt anyone to have it. If you have a sports car, I understand, but, fuck it leave it off. I get the no front tag ticket maybe once a year. Oh well.

This bill fails EVERY year. Our legislators can't afford to look "soft on crime". Nobody can seem to come up with a coherent message that would supercede the cop lobby. Has there ever been research done on how much the state would save only printing one plate for registration? Maybe we can commission a study. $$$$ is the only thing that could ever help this thing pass.
