Default USDM S2000 Hardtop?

Does anyone know if the hardtop option was offered on th USDM S2000? I've seen some references to it, but never seen an S2000 for sale with that option. And if it was/is offered for sale here in the US, how expensive of an option is it? The top is aluminum, which sounds like its $$$$$...
Someone who knows a lot about S2000s, please get in touch with me..
I'm getting rid of the Sol and getting an S2000...

the hardtop is availible. i plan on getting it for 03' winter. the top wieghs about 45 pounds. its going to run u about 3500 through honda. i sell for honda and can get u one for about 2500. thats already prepainted to match the stock color. to me it changes the look of the car completly. i like it a lot but by no means would i lose the convertable for the summer season.

there are other hardtops availible. theres a carbon fiber top that will run you around 10 grand. and theres i believe a spoon version that will run about 4,500 bucks. personally i think the regular honda version looks the cleanist.

thumbs up on the S2000 purchase. Don't worry about the people on this board that are about to flame you..."get a 350Z"..."get an RX8"... Fuck 'em. I've had mine for almost 2 years and I'm about to get a new one. They're dope ass cars.

The carbon Fibre one is from Mugen and it's about 5g's. It's lighter, wind tunnel designed, and....well it's Mugen. I haven't heard about Spoon having one. Last time I saw them they were running the Mugen design on their track car.

Sweet, thanks for the info..
Anyone ever seen a used hardtop, or an S2k for sale with a hardtop, or are they just really rare?
