Turning a blown buttom-end into a coffee table.
I am looking to turn my blown 86mm GSR block into a coffee table. I've seen it done with V-8's but not many Bseries. I want to use head studs to secure the table top (not sure if I am using glass or plexiglass). But I'm not sure if I want to the internals seeing as some of them are were damaged i.e the pistons 3 and 4 are scrathed up, should I still use them? Also should I use other things like the water pump? Any input would be great.

I'd strip it down to almost nothing, and maybe leave the pistons in if you want. Depends on the look you're going for. Most of the V8/V10/V12 ones I've seen are just a bare block that's been cleaned up and either media blasted or painted/powdercoated.

weld the rods, with the pistons attached, to the sleeves (so theyre sticking way out of the cylinders) and sit the table on top of the pistons. But stagger the angle of the four rod/piston combo
