Translucent tail light paint, anyone use it?
On my crown vic the tail lights have a small strip of amber at the bottom, the police interceptors are solid red and i like that look much better. Been looking on forums and e-bay and they seem to be suprisingly hard to find and expensive, i was wondering if anyone has tried that red translucent tail light paint i've seen around.
My friend just used it on his tail lights and it was cheap and he bought it at a local store, PM KY. MY. TACO on here he knows where to get it and what it's called. It worked great.
thanks... i found a set of new aftermarket oem look interceptor tail lights for 140$, so for the cost of a $3 bottle i'll try it, if they look like ass i'll buy the aftermarkets
If you need to get it off, use non-acetone nail polish remover. It usually gets the paint right off and won't harm the plastic usually. Test in a hidden area first though, just in case..
if you need to get paint off of anything, windows, lights, etc., use this stuff found at napa for like 3 dollars called brake clean (we use it at the shop). only the green bottle though, the red one does nothing. you can clean anything with this stuff (engine, window paint, and tail pipes) but don't use on paint. it will strip it off your car! as noted that it will take it off your headlights, tail lights and windows...
