Default Toyota's successor to the Supra!

http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_sh...s_toyotavolta/

Sorry if this a repost; I haven't been on in awhile. The steering wheel and pedals move to the center, right, or left for whatever position you want. It gets 400+ miles on a 13 gallon tank; about 27 miles per gallon. All carbon fiber, mid-engine with 2 electrical motors on each axle, no drivetrain but all wheel drive so three abreast seating can happen. The tire treads have the Toyota emblem in them. 2800 pounds and 400+ hp 0-60 @ 4 seconds with a normally aspirated v-6. Holyfuckshitdamnhellpiss!!!!!! I hope it makes it to production....may be going for 100 grand.

I think the reason why they went that route was because the car is dedicated and named after Alessandro Volta. 204 years ago he invented the battery. Plus that same concept is in the Lexus RX800h. Toyota is looking towards the future....and gas prices for that matter. Think you could mod the engine with a turbo or supercharger? Fuck me sideways....@$#%&^*!!!!!!

point taken, i guess when i pictured the electric motor, I envisioned the motor taking away from the engines performance potential.

Gotcha. I think the shifter paddles on the steering wheel are it, and if I'm not mistaken it's got seven gears....don't quote me on that. It's probably going to have a computer detect the engine's velocity on the rear axle to match up with the motor on the back to the motor on the front with microsecond response. It sounds really weird but also intriguing. Isn't technology the shit?
