Top Gear spotted in America
So apparently, the crew from Top Gear were at VIR the other day, and then made the trip to NYC for some drifting. This is all speculation of course, but it made japolink, so its probably very true.

We're giving $500 and a grab bag of other fabulous prizes to be delivered in person by none other than myself — to the first person who can get us video of Jeremy Clarkson saying how much he hates Jalopnik.
If you need a hint where they're staying — here's a shot taken from their hotel in lower Manhattan:
Catch Top Gear In New York City, Win A Prize!
Also, we're told drifting will be involved with the morning's on camera festivities, so think about places where drifting would make sense.
So get your flip HD's out and head over to the Big Apple lickety-split.

A lucky 60 or so VIR club members were invited to circulate the track in their own cars as photographers shot background video in the morning, while the show's stars lounged on the balconies of their villas overlooking the track.
Like a game of automotive musical chairs, the extras were whittled down to a remaining 18 drivers who circulated on the track along with the Top Gear presenters to provide still more video grist for the show. In the afternoon, the Top Gear crew continued without the benefit of colonial extras.

spinning the car in turn 5/6. He didn't hit anything thankfully and they
continued with their shoot. Sorry for the bad phone pics, I forgot my
camera at home.
Some of the cars 'picked' to run with them was a Carrera GT, a few C6 Z06's,
CTS-V's, Atoms, a Civic hatch (lol), and some older 'Murican muscle.

Re: Top Gear spotted in America
Civics can be built to be competitive in a lot of different race classes.
Pretty much everyone that has done an event with trackdaze got an invite to apply to be on the show. Axelerate sent in his application but i guess they didnt want any E30's. Two All Aspects regulars went though.
